Once you are feeling a little more confident, you might want to play more competitively, and you can put your name down for a friendly match. The Club organises friendly matches against other clubs in the Gloucestershire area who are also out for an enjoyable game with light refreshments afterwards. We play to win of course but it’s not the end of the world if we don’t. Friendly matches are often ‘mixed’ and are normally played midweek or on a Saturday afternoons. Most of the friendly matches are arranged on a Home and Away basis so you get a chance to see other clubs and play on different greens. We have a club noticeboard where you can pout your name down to play a game. The Captains then make a selection for the match. As a new member, you will be given a Club Fixture Card listing all the matches and venues for the year ahead.
